Hi
Started to change the clutch thrust bearing on my 222SR and after few evenings in garage I got finally far enough to pull out the gearbox. But for my misfortune it doesn’t want to come off because there is not enough room for clutch thrust leaver to come past wall between engine compartment and passenger compartment. Gearbox need to come about 1-2 cm more back in order to get it off but there’s just not enough space for it. Is the only way to get it of loosening engine fittings and trying to move engine few centimeters forward or is it possible to take off the clutch trust leaver before taking off the gearbox?
Also if you have any other good advice for job lick this or maybe some hints what parts to check during this job it would be really helpful because I haven’t done anything like this before.
Happy holidays
